Here is what they have to say
The Las Vegas conference was another good example of the great job that Airport Revenue News does to help airports, like Boston Logan, provide a high quality product to our customers, from curb to gate. The airport business is changing rapidly as airport operators get more involved in marketing, customer satisfaction surveys, concessions, revenue collection and projection, and other parts of the business side of running an airport. Airport Revenue News is a great resource for making sure our business is more successful.
– Thomas J. Kinton, Jr., Aviation Director, Logan International Airport
Excellent conference. The sessions provided opportunities for senior airport management to experience a side of airport terminal operations that we rarely see--revenue enhancements/management. I was surprised at the number of new and innovative ideas that are out there for airport concessions. It's incredibly important for airports to increase their concession revenues to alleviate the stress on airline rents and charges. The exhibit hall was a great opportunity to meet the vendors and suppliers.
– Mark VanLoh, Director, Kansas City International Airport
It is hard to believe that this was only the second year for the ARN conference. In such a short time it is quickly becoming one of the most important concession conferences in the U.S. We look forward to next year's conference in Orlando.
– Paul Weber, International Retail Director, BAA plc
Great conference. It provides many opportunities to pick up on the newest of trends, ideas, and products available to enable us to enhance growth and revenue at our airports.
– Larry Aldrich, Director-Business Development, Jacksonville Aviation Authority
The ARN event had to be one of the best conferences of its kind I have ever attended.
– Richard White, Director of Properties, Memphis Shelby County Airport Authority
ARN pulled off yet another outstanding conference. Good speakers, good topics, and a great debate highlighted very worthwhile learning sessions. The Exhibition Hall was significantly better than the previous year. I learned, I shared, I profited.
– Alan M. Gluck, Special Projects Coordinator, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
What an eye opening conference. Airport services have a whole new meaning to the traveler/guest. Restaurants in particular need to provide a quality experience in both Food and Service to this highly valuable and high frequency consumer. I love the Airport business and the opportunity it provides for our company."
– Richard Snead...President and CEO of Carlson Restaurants
This exciting venue was a great success for HDS RNA as several key decision makers in Concessions Management for North America Airports met with representatives of our Business Development team. Several hot topics were discussed and HDS RNA promoted our exciting concepts, current airport relationships, revenue & performance statistics and the positive results from our recent customer service intercept.
– Marco DiBernardo, HDS Retail North America
I have been to every airport conference available in the past three years and without exception ARN is the best conference! The greatest thing about the ARN is the number of attendees and the accessibility to key decision makers. Our mission for the conference was to ask our existing airports, "What can we do better in servicing your airport?" What we came home with was valuable input and another four contracts!
Thank you for a great conference we look forward to next year!
– Heather Lowry, President and CEO of CheckPoint Mailers.
In general it was a great conference, although some of the presentations were kind of dull and with nothing new or innovative. Some of the speakers need training in public speaking. But it gave a very orderly way to approach concessions management and it was especially beneficial for the contacts and all the networking with other professionals in the industry. We were the only airport from outside North America that attended, so it gave us an interesting perspective of best practices in the U.S. and Canada.
– Arturo Gonzalez, Business Development Manager, Alterra Partners Costa Rica, Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO), Costa Rica
It was my first time attending the ARN show. It was an impressive turn-out and most of all I appreciated seeing many colleagues at one venue and meeting new ones face-to-face. The sessions were interesting and lively, if too brief. SH&E did a fine job hosting and educating and the other panels were informative and fun. An impressive show of speakers. Thanks for the opportunity. Looking forward to next year!
– Janice Holden, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, JFKIAT LLC Terminal 4
I thought ARN did the industry proud. It was a great event for a number of reasons:
• The fact that there was a huge attendance
• The fact that there was bigger booth presence
• The fact that you engaged outside speakers with great credibility
• The fact that you organized the weather for the Golf
– Roderick I McOwan, Executive Director, Creative Host Services
The 2nd Annual ARN Conference at Caesars Palace was informative, interactive and a provided a forum to meet with business colleagues in an informal setting. Kudos to the ARN team for creating a conference that without question has set an industry standard.
– Susan Druckman, Vice President, Travelex Currency Services, Inc.
The team at ARN have done it again with the 2nd Annual ARN Conference! This conference provided me with a valuable platform for networking with key industry decision makers, leading operators, and industry executives. I look forward to attending upcoming ARN conferences for years to come.
– Giorgio Kolaj, Executive Vice President, Famous Famiglia
The ARN conference was great! It provided both an educational experience for us to learn as well as a venue to network and conduct business with established and new partners. The value in attending the conference was the one-stop-shop environment. Most of the key players were in attendance and at the same time there was an opportunity to refresh on the state of the industry and environment we all work in.
– Tony Grant, Sr. Manager Borders Airport Program
The ARN conference was a great way to let everyone know that Bruegger's is a very viable concept for airport revenue. Our brand is a "perfect fit" for the traveler who wants to enjoy authentic "kettle boiled bagels" and cream cheese, awesome sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts and........the "perfect fit" for airports striving to satisfy travelers with a fast, high quality, premium product. The ARN conference allowed us to make great contacts and meet many people that are focused on moving airport business forward. Good conference!
– Alan Roark, Bruegger's Bagel Bakery-Café, VP, Franchising
Excellent. From a vendor standpoint, key people from many airports attended and the format of the show allowed enough time to interact with them.
– Bert Heaton, Senior Director, Smarte Carte Inc.
"I thought this year's conference was excellent. The speakers, the structure of the conference and the networking opportunities were invaluable. We will continue to be a part of future ARN conferences and thanks to ARN for putting together such a well organized, first class event."
– Adam Torine, Vice President of Business Development, Villa Enterprises.
Even though this was only the second year for this conference, ARN has shown you can count on consistently high quality topics and presenters as well as an atmosphere conducive for networking.
– Dick Snyder, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Concourse Communications Group
Vino Volo is an exciting new wine tasting concept that's capturing the attention of USA Today and other major national papers, so attending ARN was an incredible opportunity for us to meet key decision makers in the airport community and share our great new concept. The sessions, speakers, and exhibit hall were also outstanding and really helped us connect with the airport concessions world.
– Doug Tomlinson, CEO, Vino Volo, DC Dulles International Airport
Although I was only able to attend the final days events, I found them very helpful and useful. As an airport food service provider, I will recommend that we attend next year and possibly become an exhibitor. Those who missed the final night awards banquet missed a great evening.
– Bill Priebe, Senior Executive, National Accounts, The Panda Restaurant Group
It was a great show! Count First Class Seats in for the next one.
– Mark J. Eberhardt, President, First Class Seats, Inc.
The ARN Conference has been a proven platform for AirValet to introduce its concession-based valet service to customer service focused airports throughout the country.
– Yul L. McNair, C.M., President, Air Valet, Inc.
We are starting up a company using touch screen technology to sell thousands of items through a catalog. Items would be shipped to customers by courier to a destination of their choice. I attended the conference to determine and refine my marketing plan. The contacts I made at the conference helped determine the direction of the placement of our kiosk shopping network.
– Rod McMorran, COO, KSN Kiosk Shopping Network
