MAG USA opened an Escape Lounge at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) this week, its fourth such venue in the United States.
The Escape Lounges offer unlimited complimentary food and beverages, high-speed Wi-Fi and comfortable seating located near airline gates.
All passengers are welcome at the Escape Lounges, regardless of airline, credit card or loyalty program affiliation.
The company selected Chef Colin Smith, who is chef and owner at Roundabout Grill, to curate the menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails at the lounge. Entrée choices will include fresh, light fare like tuna poke and indulgent items like his “kickass chips” smothered in BBQ sauce from BJ’s Roadhouse, company officials say.
Breakfast options will include items such as the Ciabatta Crème Brulee French Toast and desserts include chocolate caramel brownie cupcakes.
“Chef Colin will bring local flavors to a lounge with an international reputation for quality and comfort,” says Marily Mora, president and CEO at RNO.
Adds Rosemarie Andolino, president and CEO of MAG USA: “Passengers traveling through the region will now have access to an airport lounge where they can relax and recharge while enjoying award-winning, local chef-inspired cuisine to enhance their travel experience.”
This lounge is the first one opened by MAG since U.S. Escape Lounges became part of the American Express Global Lounge Collection. As such, American Express Platinum Card Members receive complimentary access to the Escape Lounges and may be accompanied by up to two travel companions for no additional charge.
Otherwise, passengers can pay a fee of $45 per customer to access the lounge, or they can pre-book online at www.escapelounges.com for $40. The lounge at RNO will be open from 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
