Nassau Airport Development Company in Nassau, the Bahamas, is seeking a partner to design, build, finance and operate duty free retail operations at Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS).
The company is asking for expressions of interest from qualified parties. Proposers must either be a licensed Bahamian company or will be required to enter a joint venture with a licensed Bahamian company. They must also have at least five years experience as a major duty free concessionaire at an airport.
The concession involves at least 3,000 square feet of retail space in multiple locations. The minimum build-out cost is B$450 (US$450.18) per square foot. The Nassau Airport Development Company said it welcomes “innovative revenue models” in the expression of interest.
NAS is home to 23 airlines serving almost 60 destinations across the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2016 NAS served 3.3 million passengers and handled more than 83,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings.
